About Us

The HR Roundtable was developed to bring HR professionals together.

Not just to better understand how to address an entirely new day to day culture; but to also have a safe place to share and be heard. We are in unprecedented times. The only people who can truly help and understand our challenges are EACH OTHER. The HR Roundtable will provide you with current data for your employer on how other organizations are handling things. We are all trying to navigate an environment that changes daily, where consistency is essential but hard to obtain.

Human Resources is where staff go to find the answers. You are always there for staff and management to answer their inquiries, address concerns, provide wellness and mental health benefits and to develop the policies and procedures to help ensure success. But who is there to help you? Who do you go to talk through your difficult issues? They typically can't be discussed with someone internally. HR traditionally puts themselves last. Whether it’s in regards to professional development or just taking a day to recharge, we don't have the time. There is always something or someone else that needs our attention.

You deserve a place where you can go to share ideas, discuss challenges and find solutions. You will have someone to talk with, who will HEAR you and propose a path forward. Being a part of the HR Roundtable will provide you with the guidance and support to help you not only do your job well, but to provide you the tools to excel as an HR professional.

Our goal is to provide the support, guidance and knowledge that all that HR does is appreciated and recognized. HR covers so many areas and is so vast. The HR roundtables help us not only to do our jobs better, but to think more strategically. The opportunity to talk with peers in HR to discuss how we are all managing this new workplace and what that means for us, our organizations and how we work is necessary to ensure our mutual success.

Meet Patricia Trudeau (PJ)

My career in HR began nearly 25 years ago, as a lateral move within the company for whom I was working at the time. I had just graduated college and was considering options far removed from the world of Human Resources. However, the position was available; I enjoyed working closely with people and I was very well trained in my adherence to ethical boundaries. So, I thought “How hard could it be?” Suffice it to say that I had a lot to learn…  And, I’m happy to also say that I’m still learning. What began as a job became a vocation, because - regardless of all of the frustrations, long hours, twists and turns (and the occasional shock) - I am rewarded by the knowledge that my colleagues and I truly do make a difference.

I have worked with and consulted for companies large and small, across the spectrum of products and services.  I’ve seen struggling companies soar and seen profit making companies on the brink of internal collapse. Each time, the critical difference has revealed itself to be equal to the caliber of the company’s HR professionals. Unfortunately, not all companies realize the vital role that HR plays in their survival and there is a lack of support.

The world is evolving constantly and we have front row seats to its impact on each of us. One thing I have learned that holds true, regardless of culture, creed or status, is that every human being has an intrinsic need to be heard. We need to know that we are valuable and valued. I love that I can be there to uplift and encourage; to have a direct impact on the lives of those around me and to see the change in morale, productivity and overall well-being when I have done it right.
